The first two days I found myself hungry after eating al of my food. It also helps that the guide gives me substitutions – so there is no excuse if I don’t like almond butter – or any other ingredient! The best thing by far is my dinner of pita pizzas – so freakin’ delicious. The meals, by the way, are so tasty! Almost everything I’ve eaten is great. I wake up an hour early to prep my food in the morning, and I am loving that extra hour to mentally get ready for the day. But I am enjoying my time creating my healthy dishes. The clean eating is a breeze as long as I remember to set aside time to prep. Checking in everyday, and seeing the other strong ladies getting their ish together is so motivating! And the support system of my fellow Fit Girls? Phenom. The first week of my Fit Girl journey is coming to a close – and I have to say I am so satisfied with the experience! Sticking to this lifestyle is so easy when there’s no gimmicks. I also need to wrangle in these cravings for fast food and ice cream that I’ve given in to while sick! I am excited for week 3, and can’t wait to start working out again when I feel up to it. I know I have to remember I am doing this in a natural, healthy way and the weight will not come off after night. I know I cheated a little, but I was so sure I was going to lose more. It was a little disappointing that the number was so small after 2 weeks of this. They did have to weigh me at the doctor and I had lost 3lbs. When I started to feel absolutely terrible I decided to go to the doctor – turns out I had a sinus infection AND a cold virus. Towards the end of the week I started feeling unwell, but I continued to push myself. They are challenging, but realistic so I always feel great afterwards. The workouts that I did partake in this week went very well. I am not proud of this – but it’s about progress not perfection, right? This is no small feat as I normally lick my plate clean! On Saturday I ate ramen for lunch and had a cheese burger and fries from McDonalds. ![]() I had 1/2 of a spicy sandwich and 1/2 of my fries. On Friday I had ramen for lunch and went to Chick-fil-a for dinner. This weekend when my illness kicked in I had zero energy to cook anything. Another night I went out with a friend to the best taco place ever (Torchys), where I ate one baja shrimp taco and one strawberry margarita. One night I had a baked potato (loaded) with chopped brisket and BBQ sauce. Instead I ate shrimp, cous cous and peas. The other dinner recipe called for polenta – I could find it nowhere in Kroger. I ate one serving of it for dinner and decided it was not for me. As far as the dinners – wasn’t vibing on pumpkin lasagna either. For three days I ended up not eating the tuna and just eating, potatoes, green beans, cherry tomatoes, and hard boiled egg. I repeat: not a fan. I don’t know if it was the greek yogurt or the peas or user error but it ended up being very sour. The lunch recipe this week was a tuna dish – I was not a fan. For breakfast everyday I went with a whole wheat english muffin with organic peanut butter and a drizzle of honey and 1/2 c of fruit. It just wasn’t as magical as I had planned for it to be.Īs far as the food – I have to be honest – I was not a fan of the recipes for week 2. It wasn’t a terrible-horrible-no good-very bad day-week. I dealt with a lot of personal issues this week, as well as a sinus infection, so the Fit Girl lifestyle was a struggle. ![]() Week two of my first fit girl experience is now over and done with, and I have to say it was not the best week.
